Lava O2 is set to be launched in India soon, as announced by the company on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. The company has given a sneak peek of the handset’s design, hinting at its imminent debut in the country in the near future. The upcoming smartphone by Lava will be up for sale on Amazon, and a product listing on the e-commerce platform has unveiled some key specifications of the Lava O2 before its official release in India.
The teaser shared by the company on X showcases the handset in a green color variant with a dual rear camera setup positioned at the top left corner. The appearance of the camera module changes when viewed from different angles. On the rear panel’s bottom left corner, there is a small Lava logo with a matte finish. The teaser video also reveals that the bottom edge of the Lava O2 will house a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille.
In the meantime, the Lava O2 is now listed on Amazon, providing further insights into the smartphone’s specifications. It will also be offered in a Majestic Purple color variant, with the back of the handset crafted from AG Glass. The listing mentions that the Lava O2 will sport a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.
According to the Amazon listing, the Lava O2 will be powered by an octa-core Unisoc T616 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone is claimed to achieve a score of over 250,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test.
The device will boast a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. It will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, as detailed in the product listing on the e-commerce platform. The Lava O2 will come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging via a USB Type-C port.
