The much-anticipated K-drama, Youth, inspired by BTS, is set to debut this year, diving into the emotional storyline of the fictional Bangtan Universe created by the K-pop group. Produced by HYBE Labels in collaboration with Chorokbaem Media and Finger Labs, the series revives the narrative from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (HYYH).
Youth follows the turbulent teenage years of seven characters and has been in production since 2020, with filming wrapping up in 2021 after facing several delays. Fans eagerly awaiting the premiere can rejoice as the show is slated for release in April 2024 on the exclusive platform Xclusive.
Xclusive, powered by Finger Labs through Web 3.0 technology, will be the platform for streaming Youth. The series is set to launch with 12 episodes divided into three parts for the first season. A pre-sale option for the entire series will open in April, offering fans early access. Subsequently, individual episode purchase options will become available in May.
Youth explores the deep themes of the Bangtan Universe through the interconnected stories depicted in music videos, short films, video games, and webtoons. The series, also known as ‘Begins Youth,’ revolves around a group of friends – Hwan, Cein, Hosu, Dogeon, Haru, Jooan, and Jeha – navigating various challenges from familial issues to societal pressures. The core message of the K-drama is the resilience of their friendship as a guiding light that can conquer any obstacle they face.
