Vishal Bhardwaj has made a significant development in his long-awaited project based on Don Hussain Ustara, previously known as Sapna Didi. Renowned film journalist Rahul Raut recently shared on social media that Kartik Aaryan has been chosen by Bhardwaj to portray the lead role in the film. This collaboration between Kartik and Vishal will mark their first project together, adding an exciting dynamic to the upcoming movie.
The official confirmation of Kartik Aaryan being cast in Vishal Bhardwaj’s thriller was met with enthusiasm by fans. The film, which is said to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will have Kartik playing the role of Hussain Ustara, a fearless underworld figure who challenged the notorious kingpin Dawood Ibrahim. Interestingly, this project was initially supposed to feature the late Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone. However, the script has been reworked to offer a fresh perspective, now focusing on Ustara’s narrative.
According to the latest report, filming for this yet-to-be-titled thriller is scheduled to commence in September 2024. While Kartik Aaryan’s role has been confirmed, the female lead for the character of Ashraf Khan aka Sapna Didi is still under consideration. Previously, Deepika Padukone was associated with this role, adding to the anticipation surrounding the casting decisions for the movie.
