The Tecno Camon 30 series made its debut in Nigeria on April 3, featuring the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 5G, and the base Camon 30 models. Initially revealed at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February, these smartphones are equipped with MediaTek chipsets and house 5,000mAh batteries, supporting up to 70W wired fast charging. Additionally, they boast stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Although there hasn’t been any confirmation regarding the launch of these handsets in India yet, they have generated significant interest among tech enthusiasts.
In terms of pricing, the Tecno Camon 30 offers an 8GB + 256GB variant at NGN 2,73,000 (approximately Rs. 17,100) and a 12GB + 256GB version at NGN 3,21,500 (roughly Rs. 20,200). Color options for this model include Iceland Basaltic Dark, Sahara Sand Brown, and Uyuni Salt White. On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 30 5G is priced at NGN 4,52,000 (around Rs. 28,400), while the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G comes with a price tag of NGN 5,38,000 (about Rs. 33,800). The former is available in Emerald Lake Green, Iceland Basaltic Dark, and Uyuni Salt White color variants, whereas the Pro model is offered in Iceland Basaltic Dark and Alps Snowy Silver hues.
While the sale date for the Camon 30 series in Nigeria is yet to be announced, interested buyers can currently pre-order these smartphones from a list of specified stores provided by Tecno Nigeria. The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G boasts a large 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a high 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and immersive visual experience for users. With such impressive features and specifications, the Tecno Camon 30 series is set to make a mark in the smartphone market.The Tecno Camon Pro 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. It runs on the Android 14-based HiOS 14 operating system. In terms of camera features, it boasts a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor at the back, along with dual rear flash units. The front camera houses a 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus.
Powering the Tecno Camon Pro 5G is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Additionally, it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security. The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G and the Camon 30 4G models feature similar display panels to the Pro variant, with the vanilla models supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The 5G variant is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC, while the 4G option is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. Both variants offer similar operating systems, battery capacities, and selfie camera specifications as the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G.
When it comes to the camera setup, the Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 4G models feature dual rear camera units with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, accompanied by dual rear flash units. The 5G model supports 70W fast charging, while the 4G variant supports 45W wired fast charging. Both models also come with in-display fingerprint scanners.
