Honda Elevate hits milestone with 30,000 units sold since debut

Honda Cars India’s Elevate SUV has notched an impressive milestone, with over 30,000 units sold since its debut in September of last year. Positioned against rival models like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and others, the Elevate draws its platform from the 5th generation City, achieving this feat within a span of just 6 months.

In the Indian market, the Elevate is exclusively offered with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine generating 119 bhp of power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. Customers can opt for either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission with 7-speed steps. Notably, Honda has confirmed the absence of diesel or hybrid powertrains for the Elevate, with the focus shifting towards an upcoming all-electric variant scheduled for launch in the coming years.

Available in four trim levels – SV, V, VX, and ZX, the Elevate’s pricing ranges from ₹11.58 lakh to ₹16.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The automatic transmission is offered across all variants except the base SV model. Recently, Honda commenced exports of the Elevate from India to Japan under the name ‘WR-V,’ marking a significant development for Honda Cars India. This marks the first instance of a car being exported from India to Japan by Honda, with the SUV undergoing minor cosmetic tweaks and certain feature deletions for the Japanese market. Additionally, Honda Cars India has been exporting various models to both left-hand and right-hand drive markets in countries such as Turkey, Mexico, Nepal, South Africa, and others.
