New York Auto Show unveils the global premiere of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai has revealed the 2025 Tucson at the New York International Auto Show, showcasing both cosmetic enhancements and new features. The 2.5L models of the 2025 Tucson are expected to reach U.S. dealerships by June 2024, with the 1.6L turbo hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions following in late summer 2024. While there is no official confirmation of the new Tucson’s arrival in the Indian market, speculations hint at a possible introduction through the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route by the end of this year or the next.

In terms of design, the 2025 Tucson boasts a revamped front-end with updates to the grille, bumper, and LED Daytime Running Lamps, lending it a more aggressive appearance. The vehicle showcases new alloy wheels, anodized aluminum badging, and sharp creases along the sides, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal. Hyundai has extended the length of the rear wiper to enhance its coverage area.

The interior of the 2025 Tucson has undergone a transformation, creating a more spacious feel. Featuring a newly designed panoramic curved display that integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, the cabin exudes a modern touch. The center stack has been redesigned to include additional knobs and switchgear, ensuring easy access to driver controls such as audio volume, tuning, and HVAC settings for improved ergonomics. The center console, steering wheel, and door panel accents have been refreshed, offering a contemporary look and enhanced functionality. An additional dashboard tray above the glovebox provides extra storage for front-seat passengers.

A notable change in the 2025 Tucson is the shift to a column-mounted transmission stick from the traditional gear lever, freeing up more space in the center console. All trims now feature a larger 12.3-inch hoodless infotainment touchscreen with faster processing speeds, vibrant colors, and crisper graphics for a more user-friendly interface. The wireless device quick-charging pad (15-watt) has been relocated to a more accessible position for the driver’s convenience.
