Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it will be increasing prices for select models starting April 1, 2024. The automaker is planning to raise prices by up to one percent on certain variants of these models due to rising input costs and operational expenses. This will mark Toyota’s second price increase for the year, following the price adjustments made across its lineup in January 2024. Honda Cars India is also set to raise prices across its range next month.
The price hike, though modest, is likely to impact models such as the Toyota Fortuner, Hilux, Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Glanza. Toyota Kirloskar Motor stated that the company is increasing prices for specific grades of its models in response to escalating costs. As the new financial year approaches, more automakers are expected to follow suit and adjust prices for their offerings.
Additionally, Toyota is preparing to launch a new vehicle based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx on April 3. The upcoming model, possibly named the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, will incorporate the price increase. The automaker is also introducing a new GX (O) variant for the Innova Hycross petrol, which is already featured on the brand’s website.
