Upcoming Toyota Innova HyCross Non-Hybrid Variant: Features and Specifications Preview

Toyota Motor is preparing to introduce a new variant of the popular Innova HyCross MPV in the near future. The Japanese automaker has featured the upcoming variant, named GX (O), on its official website. Positioned as the highest-tier option, this new variant will solely be available with a petrol engine. While an official announcement is pending, Toyota has detailed the features that will accompany the new Innova HyCross variant.

As per details on Toyota’s official website, the GX (O) variant of the Innova HyCross MPV will accommodate up to eight individuals, including the driver. The seven-seat configuration will offer captain seats. Powering the vehicle will be the familiar 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine found in other variants, coupled with a CVT transmission unit. This setup is capable of producing approximately 173 bhp of power and 209 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of aesthetics, the forthcoming Innova HyCross variant will bear resemblance to its predecessors. The interior of the Innova HyCross GX (O) will feature a dual-tone scheme of Chestnut Brown and Black. Noteworthy features include a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Toyota’s Connect Audio, a rear retractable sunshade, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera with panoramic view guide and Dynamic Back Guide. Additional highlights encompass a panoramic sunroof, powered ottoman seats in the second row, and ADAS technology.

Toyota presently offers the non-hybrid version of the Innova HyCross in four variants. The prices for the petrol-only Innova HyCross commence at ₹18.92 lakh (ex-showroom) and reach ₹19.82 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GX eight-seater variant. Anticipate a premium of around ₹50,000 on the upcoming GX (O) variant upon its launch. Competing in the utility vehicle segment, it stands against adversaries like the Maruti Suzuki Invicto.

The Toyota Innova HyCross stands as the second offering from the Japanese automaker featuring a robust hybrid powertrain, following the Urban Cruiser HyRyder SUV. The hybrid models, propelled by the same 2.0-litre engine, fall in a higher price bracket ranging from ₹25.72 lakh to ₹30.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
