Bollywood Celebrities Making Their South Indian Film Debut in 2024

In 2024, Bollywood stars are gearing up to make their mark in the South film industry. Janhvi Kapoor is all set to debut in NTR 30, while Saif Ali Khan will be seen in Devara, and Emraan Hashmi in OG. Bobby Deol is also set to appear in Kanguva, along with several other stars stepping into the South cinema world.

Saif Ali Khan celebrated his 53rd birthday last year with the release of the first look poster of his upcoming film, Devara. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie stars Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles and is scheduled for a theatrical release on 5th April 2024.

Janhvi Kapoor’s entry into Telugu cinema with Devara alongside Jr NTR has generated significant buzz as it marks her debut in Tollywood. Additionally, she has been selected as the lead actress in Ram Charan’s RC16. Kapoor expressed remorse for not learning Telugu but commended the Devara team for their patience and assistance in helping her with the dialogue. She admitted, “I never learned Telugu and it is something I am ashamed of. I can understand it phonetically, but I can’t speak it. Yes, it is one of my biggest regrets.”

Another Bollywood actress, Disha Patani, is also set to make her South debut with Suriya’s period drama, Kanguva. Her foray into the Southern film industry has garnered much anticipation among fans, eagerly awaiting her performance in this upcoming project.Disha Patani is all set to star alongside Suriya for the first time in an upcoming film. Additionally, she will also be seen in the highly anticipated movie “Kalki 2898 AD,” which features an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Amitabh Bachchan. Scheduled for a global release on May 9, this movie is definitely one to watch out for.

On the other hand, Bobby Deol is venturing into South Indian cinema with his debut in “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” opposite Pawan Kalyan. Following this, he will be seen in Suriya’s “Kanguva,” where he plays the main antagonist. Recently, the film’s team unveiled Bobby Deol’s striking first look, sporting antlers on his long hair, generating excitement among fans.

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor, is set to make her South Indian debut in the movie “Vrushabha” alongside the legendary Mohanlal. Playing a significant role opposite Roshann Meka, Shanaya’s performance is eagerly awaited by audiences. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, this film is primed for a pan-Indian release, boasting a star-studded cast including Garuda Ram, Simran, and Srikanth. Shot primarily in Telugu and Malayalam, “Vrushabha” promises to be a cinematic treat for South Indian and pan-Indian movie buffs alike.

Sunny Hinduja, known for his notable portrayals in projects like “The Railway Men” and “Aspirants,” is making his foray into South Indian cinema with the Malayalam film “Hello Mummy.” Teasing fans with photos showcasing his tattooed hands embellished with rings, Sunny Hinduja is rumored to essay the role of an exorcist in this upcoming movie, adding an intriguing element to the storyline.

Furthermore, actor-comedian Jamie Lever, daughter of the iconic Johnny Lever, is stepping into the South Indian film industry with her Telugu debut in “Aa Okatti Adakku.” Expressing her excitement, Jamie shared that debuting in the Telugu industry is a dream come true for her. She considers it a personal tribute to her roots, as Telugu is her mother tongue. Playing a pivotal role in the film produced by Rajiv Chilaka, Jamie Lever’s performance is anticipated to shine on the big screen, adding a touch of humor and charisma to the narrative.
