When Shah Rukh Khan was a newcomer, he astounded many by securing a three-film deal with actor-director Rakesh Roshan. His close friend and producer, Vivek Vaswani, revealed that Shah Rukh, without any prior movie appearances, impressed Rakesh and landed a role in the film “King Uncle.”
Vivek arranged a meeting between Shah Rukh and Rakesh, suggesting SRK for a part in “King Uncle.” Despite being asked why he should be cast, Shah Rukh confidently explained that casting Salman Khan, a well-known star then, wouldn’t add more value to the film’s cost. He convinced Rakesh to sign a three-film contract based on his business knowledge.
Rakesh was impressed by Shah Rukh’s understanding of the industry and signed him for three movies, including “Karan Arjun” and “Koyla.” This early sign of business acumen likely contributed to Shah Rukh’s success as an actor-producer.
Additionally, Shah Rukh’s recent film “Jawan,” produced by his company Red Chillies Entertainment, became a massive success, grossing over Rs 1000 crore globally. This year, this accomplishment marked Shah Rukh’s triumph in the film industry.
