IPL 2024 Schedule Released: Grand Finale at CSK’s Chepauk Stadium, Playoffs in Ahmedabad and Chennai

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has unveiled the remaining schedule of the IPL 2024, with all roads leading to Chennai. Champions Chennai Super Kings kicked off the IPL 2024 season by hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The season will culminate in the summit clash in Chennai as well. The IPL 2024 schedule includes 74 games, all set to take place in India, with a partial schedule featuring 21 games from March 22 to April 7.

The playoff stage of IPL 2024 will see action in Ahmedabad and Chennai. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on May 21 and 22, the home turf of 2022 champions Gujarat Titans. CSK’s Chepauk will host the Qualifier 2 on May 24, leading up to the grand finale on May 26 at the same venue where Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans clashed in last year’s IPL final. CSK claimed their fifth title under MS Dhoni’s leadership in a thrilling final-ball victory.

In the upcoming season, CSK will face last year’s runners-up Gujarat Titans at home on March 26 and go head-to-head with Kolkata Knight Riders on April 8 before their highly anticipated match against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 14. Punjab Kings will have two matches in Dharamsala, while Rajasthan Royals will play two home games in Guwahati. Delhi Capitals, led by Rishabh Pant, will host all five of their remaining home matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi after initially choosing Visakhapatnam for their first two home games.
