Tecno recently introduced the Pova 6 Pro 5G smartphone in India, following its debut at the Mobile World Congress in February. The phone is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC and boasts a 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup. It is also the first smartphone in India to feature a large 6,000mAh battery with 70W wired fast charging support. The device comes in two RAM variants and will be available for purchase early next month.
In terms of pricing, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G starts at Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 21,999. Customers can avail of an instant bank discount of Rs. 2,000 on all banks, making the effective prices Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB and 12GB versions, respectively. Additionally, buyers will receive a free Tecno S2 Speaker worth Rs. 4,999 with the purchase of the phone.
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G will be up for sale starting from 12pm IST on April 4 through Amazon and offline retail outlets. The phone comes in two colour choices – Comet Green and Meteorite Grey.
In terms of specifications, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits peak brightness. It runs on a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM, expandable virtually by another 12GB. The device operates on Android 14-based HiOS 14.
The phone’s triple rear camera setup includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor with up to 3x in-sensor zoom, a 2-megapixel portrait lens, and an AI-backed lens, complemented by a dual LED flash. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with dual-tone LED flash.
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G offers features like Dynamic Port 2.0, displaying notifications around the hole punch cutout, and an upgraded Arc Interface with over 200 LEDs for customisable patterns for alerts. The phone also features Dolby Atmos-supported dual speakers, a 6,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging, and IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Additionally, it supports various connectivity options like 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C. With a thickness of 7.8mm and a weight of 195g, the phone aims to provide a well-rounded user experience without compromising on essential features.
