Lava is set to launch the O2 smartphone in India this week, with the official unveiling scheduled for March 22 at 12:00pm IST. The phone will be powered by a Unisoc T616 SoC and 8GB of RAM, and will feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The device will be available for purchase on Amazon, with a dedicated microsite already live on the e-commerce platform.
The Lava O2 sports a boxy design with power and volume buttons on the left side, a hole punch cutout for the selfie camera on the display, and a square-shaped dual camera setup on the back. It will run on an octa-core Unisoc T616 SoC and offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone is said to have scored well on the AnTuTu benchmarking site and will support 18W fast charging.
Earlier leaks suggested that the Lava O2 would come in a Majestic Purple color variant with a 6.5-inch screen, 90Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. However, the product page for the device has been removed from Amazon for now.
