Motorola introduced the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC in September 2022. Leaks suggest that its successor, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, is gearing up for launch, with rumors pointing to an unveiling alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Pro on April 3. The leaked information hints at the device being available in three color options, equipped with a dual rear camera system highlighted by a 50-megapixel primary camera, and powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Renders shared by Android Headlines display the handset in ballad blue, peacock pink, and tidal teal shades, showcasing a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera on the display.
Additionally, the leaked details mention that the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is expected to feature a curved 6.7-inch pOLED display, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The device could come with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary shooter, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It may also include a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support and an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The device is slated for an India launch on April 3, with a subsequent release in Europe and North America.
The Motorola Edge 40, which recently debuted in India as the predecessor to the Edge 30, raises the question of whether it is a better choice compared to the Nothing Phone 1 or the Realme Pro+.
