Motorola is all set to unveil its latest mid-range flagship smartphone, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, in India on April 3. Just before the official launch, a tipster has revealed the European pricing of the device. Motorola has been giving glimpses of the upcoming Edge series phone on social media platforms and a dedicated Flipkart landing page. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and will feature a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate.
According to tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz), the Motorola Edge 50 Pro was spotted on an Italian retail website with a price tag of EUR 864 (approximately Rs. 77,000) for the variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. In comparison, its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, was launched in April last year at a price of EUR 899.99 (around Rs. 80,500) for the sole variant offering 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The tipster had previously hinted that the Indian version of the new model will be priced at Rs. 44,999 for the same RAM and storage configuration. It will feature a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution, a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The display is expected to support HDR10+ certification and provide full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Additionally, the screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Moreover, the upcoming smartphone will come equipped with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. The device will house a sophisticated triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel 2μm AI-powered primary camera, an ultra-wide camera capable of 50x hybrid zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The phone will also feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
