Microsoft introduced the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 targeted towards business users, branding them as the first Surface AI PCs designed exclusively for commercial purposes. While the devices maintain the familiar design of their predecessors, they have been upgraded with the latest Intel Core Ultra chipsets, enhanced Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capabilities, and a unique Copilot key.
The Surface Pro 10’s pricing starts at $1,199 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage featuring the Intel Core Ultra 5 chipset. The highest-end variant, equipped with 64GB RAM, 1TB storage, and Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, is priced at $2,799. Similarly, the starting price of the Surface Laptop 6 is also $1,199 for the entry-level configuration with Intel Core Ultra 5 SoC, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage, while the top-tier variant with Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 64GB RAM, and 1TB storage costs $2,299.
Both devices are available in Black and Platinum color options and can be purchased by businesses through Microsoft’s commercial store. Shipments are expected to commence from April 9.
The Surface Pro 10 features a 13-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and boasts a display that is 33% brighter with anti-reflective coating. It is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 5 135U and Core Ultra 7 165U processors, along with the Intel AI Boost NPU. The device offers up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB Gen 4 SSD storage. Additionally, it includes enhanced video and audio calling capabilities, incorporating a front-facing webcam with a 114-degree ultrawide 1440p sensor and AI-powered Windows Studio Effects. The device also offers connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, NFC, two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4, and a Surface Connect port.
On the other hand, the Surface Laptop 6 is available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch versions, both featuring IPS LCD touchscreens protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and anti-reflective coating. Along with the same processors as the Surface Pro 10, the laptop offers up to 64GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB Gen 4 SSD storage. The revised 1080p webcam now supports Windows Studio Effects. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and ports like USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A 3.1, headphone jack, and Surface Connect. The 15-inch variant also comes with an additional USB-C port. Certain models of the larger variant feature a built-in smartcard reader.
