Poco Teases Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC in Potential Poco F6 Phone

Rumors about the upcoming Poco F6 have been circulating for weeks, with recent sightings on certification sites hinting at its impending launch in India. Speculations suggest that the Poco F6 could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo. While there has been no official announcement from Redmi or Poco regarding these handsets, leaks have given insights into their potential features. A senior Poco official has now teased the release of a new phone equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, sparking further speculation that it might indeed be the Poco F6.

David Liu, a Poco Global executive, hinted at the upcoming launch of a Poco device on social media, implying that it could be the first global debut featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Although the exact name of the smartphone was not disclosed, many believe it could be the Poco F6 given its frequent appearances on certification sites and leaks.

In a recent post, Liu referred to the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro which was launched in China with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. However, it is unlikely that the upcoming Poco model will bear any resemblance to the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, apart from sharing the same processor.

Earlier reports have suggested that the Poco F6 may launch as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which is anticipated to debut in China soon. While the company has teased the launch of a new Redmi series in China, the specific model name has not been confirmed yet.

The Redmi Note 13 Turbo is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a large 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and a robust 6,000mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging. Additionally, it is expected to run on Android 14-based HyperOS skin.
