Vivo recently introduced the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in China. The standard version runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery that supports quick wired charging. This foldable smartphone has an 8.03-inch 2K main display and a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel lens. Reports suggest that the Vivo X Fold 3 may soon launch in India with similar specifications to its Chinese counterpart.
The Vivo X Fold 3 is expected to be the thinnest foldable in the industry when it hits the Indian market, measuring 10.2mm in thickness when folded. This is notably slimmer than its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 2, which measured 12.9mm when folded.
In China, the Vivo X Fold 3 features an 8.03-inch 2K E7 AMOLED primary display and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen with Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) protection. Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, it comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. The phone runs on Android 14-based OriginOS 4.
The Vivo X Fold 3 boasts a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel VCS bionic main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel portrait lens. It also has a 32-megapixel selfie camera on each display. The device houses a 5,500mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging.
Prices for the Vivo X Fold 3 in China start from CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, with the 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB models priced at CNY 7,499 (Rs. 87,800), CNY 7,999 (Rs. 93,600), and CNY 8,999 (Rs. 1,00,700) respectively. It is available in Feather White and Thin Wing Black color options.
